SfN 2017 is here. For the uninitiated, the conference can be a bit overwhelming, given the preponderance of talks, posters, workshops etc. The sheer number of people may compel some to stick to their tight-knit circle. This would be unfortunate because you will get a lot more out of the experience if you meet new people.
So what am I suggesting? I’m suggesting that you use Twitter. The platform has a massive and exceptional community of neuroscientists who will be attending the conference. Join the online discussion at #SfN17. It’s a great way to meet people and will likely demystify the social aspect of the conference, if you find socials intimidating.
