Who can participate? As Mentors: Postdocs, junior faculty, senior faculty, non-faculty researchers, and academic administrators. As Mentees: Undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs. How do mentors and mentees connect? Mentors and Mentees browse profiles of other users in MyNRMN and invite them to connect with you, like some popular social networking platforms. Include your research interest if you are hoping to connect with students and researchers with a specific field of research. Your cell phone number stored in the profile information is private and is not shared with other members. How is MyNRMN different from an NRMN Guided Virtual Mentorship? MyNRMN is an open platform that allows you to create a profile and connect with other users (mentors and mentees from the undergraduate through senior faculty levels). MyNRMN is an online community that you are free to access as often as you like, with no pre-determined curriculum or set structure for when and how you might communicate with others in the community. You can more actively browse profiles of mentors and mentees in the community and build connections, hold conversations, and collaborate one-on-one, in groups, or however you choose.
