Charise White
I am working on figures for a paper and just had my latest version of one squashed, so now I am on to version 6. On average how many iterations of figures do you do? I just learned of a case where 37 interations were done. What is the most interations you have done? Also, has a journal ever asked you to significanly change a figure?
Deborah Zelinsky
All my drafts start out as figures, then the words have to be worked around them. I’ve had up to 40 drawings. Especially one where I worked out mechanoreceptors, chemoreceptors, baroreceptors, osmoreceptors, nocioreceptors, etc, and realized that the figure was too complicated. So, had to just have internal and external receptor categories.
