Michael Oberdorfer
The San Jose Mercury News reports that the NFL and the sponsoring network have rejected a Super Bowl commercial from PETA. Evidently the animated commercial borrows from Colin Kaepernick's "taking a knee" for social justice by showing many animals taking a knee "in protest of poor treatment by humans." The going rate for a 60 second Super Bowl commercial is $10 million. If PETA can write a check for a $10 million commercial, how else does this "non-profit" organization spend their donor's money?
