pio
Amy asked: We have been organizing BAW activities for the past 5 years. This is the first I’ve heard that the Dana organization is the hub, rather than SfN. Is there communication between SfN and Dana or is all material separate? Answer: The Dana Foundation for Brain Initiatives actually started Brain Awareness Week in 1996 (read more about how BAW began). SfN is proud to be a BAW partner, and promotes the initiative to our members. While The Dana Foundation and SfN work together on a lot of things (and Dana is a Content Partner for BrainFacts.org), the materials we have to offer are separate. The Dana Foundation publishes all of their materials by themselves and sends BAW partners brain erasers, pencils, and other materials. SfN’s BrainFacts.org is the hub for most of our public information, including the Brain Facts book.
