Neurochemistry of consistent traits

neurochem-traits

#1

Researchers studying the roles of various neurotransmitter systems in impulsivity, plasticity (or OCD), endurance, psycho-motor tempo, sustained attention, sociability, neuroticism, sensation seeking and learning abilities are welcome to form a symposium for this meeting. These traits relate to temperament (formal dynamical properties of behavior), which, unlike personality, are unrelated to the system of values, education, attitudes, social history, etc. Temperament is classically considered to be weak imbalances in chemical systems, and strong imbalances within the same very systems emerge as mental illness. We therefore invite scientists studying neurochemistry of mental disorders to share their findings with researchers in consistent behavioral patterns.
