Michael Oberdorfer Posted July 24, 2020 Share Posted July 24, 2020 NIH Director, Dr Francis Collins announced today the selection of Michael Chiang, M.D., Ph.D., as Director of The National Eye Institute. Preceding his appointment, Dr. Chiang has served as a professor of ophthalmology, clinical epidemiology and medical informatics at the Casey Eye Institute, of the Oregon Health and Science University, Portland, Oregon. In his announcement Dr. Collins said: "Dr. Chiang brings extensive experience as a clinician, researcher and educator to NIH.
