Dr. Gladys Maestre is a professor of Neuroscience at the Rio Grande Valley Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center for Minority Aging Research, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Rosa Pirela is a program coordinator at the Research Center. The Research Center is focused on developing, testing, and implementing health care strategies to improve diagnosis, patient care, and preventing the development of dementia and Alzheimer's in minorities.
